    I see and can …
I see and can understand what you are saying, Maybe at times i have been “Sharp” in response to comments. Yet who can blame me, when “Youtubers” persistantly point out the glaringly obvious such as the cameraman’s feet on BS1 or make harsh judgements- such as slating the effects. Finially, aren’t you being hypocritical, but telling me not to voice my opinions..? Surely by telling me not to respond to comments in the manner i see fit is against the principals that you uphold?

Well good sir, it seems these lads are not quite Royal Shakespeare Soceity quality. But that may be owing to the fact that they are teens. Isit really expected that a bunch of lads should act professionialy when they are just trying to have a laugh and express them selves creativly? You tell me you Ardent Critic

  13. NexusNine Said,

    No problem. The …
No problem. The reason why I’m stressing you shouldn’t use copyrighted music is simply because it’s becoming too risky to do so. Youtube has the right to pull videos that use copyrighted material (my nephew was forced to pull a video for just that reason), and all the hard work put into making a film like this gets sledged down and pulled from the public’s eyes. It also makes it hard to submit films into contests if one wants to. Check my video for a reply with links. :)

  14. omardogs Said,

    hey thanks for the …
hey thanks for the feedback. the scores of goblin would fit our next film perfectly and my friend has asked me to use exisitng music as it takes him ages to make. he also has a backlog of music for a prequel and sequel to this horror short to complete. but yes thanks i will check out royalty free sites!

  15. NexusNine Said,

    If I may, it’s not …
If I may, it’s not really about being inventive with camera angles; it’s about putting the camera in the right place so it elicits the mood you’re trying to bring across. Inventiveness can and usually does come out of that. In my newest short film (in which my films are finally starting to look like film :D ), several of the shots came out of spontaneity (despite having a floor plan and shot list) mainly because I needed to elicit a certain mood. But I didn’t go into it trying to be inventive.

  16. NexusNine Said,

    I would suggest …
I would suggest staying away from copyrighted music. I know several people who have had to pull their videos from Youtube because of that. There are several royalty free sites out there that offer really good music for free. You should check into it. That, or keep letting your friend make the music. :)

You did a pretty good job. Still some ticks to work out (I know what that’s like), but not bad. I know very well that learning to make film is not an overnight job. Keep going. :)

awesome, our next film will use the scores of goblin, in particular from suspiria

  21. AshtrayEmbers Said,

    Yeah, it’s a good …
Yeah, it’s a good try, I’m trying to write the script for my own 1:30 slasher film that I have to film tomorrow. I went more down a goblin path… Haha. Keep up the good work, you’re most of the way there.

  22. omardogs Said,

we tried to mix the …
we tried to mix the camera angles up a little so a few are rotated. the music was made by my friend (who played the homeless guy) and yes there are a few revealing mistakes throughout but we are still learning and hopefully improving!

  23. AshtrayEmbers Said,

    LOL they are some …
LOL they are some crazy eyes. I like that you tried to do a Psycho thing with the zoom in on the homeless guy’s eye, but when he fell to the floor his eyes were closed, so it wasn’t as convincing- and why was the zoom in shot of his eye upside down? :S Nice touch with the killer giving him a bit of spare change though! I like the shot at 3:05 but I can see the cameraman’s feet at 3:44 which is funny. Nice effort though, did you make your own music for this?

  24. TaylorTreeHuggerXD Said,
