Ok so I am a really big horror movie fan but I loathe!!! Slasher films. It took me two years to finally watch the first saw movie but I have to admit it turned out to be a really smart movie without being slasher like I thought it would be. So my idea of horror movies are ones with decent story lines that are scary without making me puke pretty much. Some of my favorites are the original Omen, Exorcist, Saw, 28 days later, The Exorcism of Emily Rose and stuff like that so my question is what is the scariest/ best horror movie that you have seen lately?

The Ring and Ring 2 those are both really good. The first one was really scary I thought.
I have seen all of the saw movies so far and the first is still my favorite although the rest were not bad.
u should see the invasion. it’s not bloody, but a good, intellegent horror.
I didn’t like 1408, I thought it was pretty boring
for me the scariest is still The Ring (1&2)
oh, and the Final Destination is awesome (does it qualify as a horror movie?)

Well the remake of The Hitcher was very good if you have not seen that. Also if you have not seen the rest of the Saw series yet you need to. The second one was ok, but the third one was very good. To be honest horror movies anymore are just not very good. I watch a lot of movies and I have seen most of the new horror releases, and for the most part they are not very good.

An American Haunting is pretty creepy. So is The Mothman Prophecies. If you like older movies try The Birds. Also, The Shining (w/ Jack Nicholson) and Poltergeist (only the first one) are really creepy. And that movie 1408 is pretty scary and not gross at all.
