Seals from the Indus Valley Civilization (c. 3000–1500 BC). The first one appears to show a Swastika.
The motif seems to have first been used in Neolithic India. The symbol has an ancient history in Europe, appearing on artifacts from pre-Christian European cultures. In antiquity, the swastika was used extensively by the Indo-Aryans,Persians, Hittites, Celts and Greeks, among others. In particular, the swastika is a sacred symbol in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Mithraism — religions with over a billion adherents worldwide, making the swastika ubiquitous in both historical and contemporary society. The symbol was introduced to Southeast Asia by Hindu kings and remains an integral part of Balinese Hinduism to this day, and it is a common sight in Indonesia. It also was adopted independently by several Native American cultures.
Greek helmet with swastika marks on the top part, 350-325 BC from Taranto, found at Herculanum. Cabinet des Médailles, Paris.
In the Western world, the symbol experienced a resurgence following the archaeological work in the late 19th century of Heinrich Schliemann, who discovered the symbol in the site of ancient Troy and associated it with the ancient migrations of Proto-Indo-Europeans. He connected it with similar shapes found on ancient pots in Germany, and theorized that the swastika was a “significant religious symbol of our remote ancestors”, linking Germanic, Greek and Indo-Iranian cultures. By the early 20th century, it was widely used worldwide and was regarded as a symbol of good luck and success.
The work of Schliemann soon became intertwined with the völkisch movements, for which the swastika was a symbol of “Aryan” identity, a concept that came to be equated by theorists such as Alfred Rosenberg with a Nordic master race originating in northern Europe. Since its adoption by the Nazi Party of Adolf Hitler, the swastika has been associated with fascism, racism (white supremacy), World War II, and the Holocaust in much of the West. The swastika remains a core symbol of Neo-Nazi groups, and is used regularly by activist groups to signify the supposed Nazi-like behavior of organizations and individuals they oppose

This is typical “history” of the late 20th-21st centuries. Not comprehensive at all and utterly biased, as well as incorrect in many assertions. In short, total rubbish.
thats a bit of a …
thats a bit of a sweeping generalisation isn’t it? I am white and I live in the western world. I do my research, I don’t watch tv and I don’t read magazines or newspapers. I prefer to dig amongst the literary of our elders and make my own assumptions. I agree that a lot of new age stuff is flakey though… but why shouldn’t I practise zen buddhism if I wanted to ….? If I did, and if I did it whole-heartedly, would that make me a disillusioned white?

The Swastika has …
The Swastika has been uncovered in Viking artifacts circa 300 BC just to point out. It is a universal symbol also used by the Navajo. It is a symbol possibly derived from basket weaving cultures as well as a symbol of the eternal circular motion of existence and chaos versus order, good versus evil, yin & yang I’m speculating here.

On one utube posting…a guy from Iran(aryan) was cirticizing a guy from Germany as not being a real “aryan” like the people in Iran…How ridiculous is racism? why do intelligent people ever fall for this gargage? I don’t know….I used to be a Nazi sympathizer so who am I to speak…now I know the truth.
The swastika is a …
The swastika is a multicultural symbol, used by many ethnical races in ancient times. Not only the “Aryans” used it. And the indian ancient race is not aryan at all as you can see in south india (ancient time). So nobody knows exactly, where the swastika came from.
No, you are wrong ! …
No, you are wrong ! The Swastika is not a typical indian symbol. Greeks used it as a symbol of Zeus’ two eagles, who symbolized the four wings of the four directions. Found on ceramic vases in the minoan culture 3.000 B.C. !
True that, …
True that, thousands of years of culture has been wrapped up in expensive western wrapping paper and sold to the masses.
It all started with …
It all started with schopenhauer and nietzsche who stole from hindu and buddhist philosophy and unleashed it on Europe. This opened up the entire culture that was based on the judeo-christian tradition. Soon everyone got in on the act and by the time the Americans got hold of it via Hesse, Huxley, kerouac, etc it became about making money. The entire new age religious cult that includes yoga, mediation, zen is nothing but a marketing ploy catering to disillusioned whites.
At 09:00 they say …
At 09:00 they say for the first time in history, this isn’t really true. There was a warning on what war would be in the American civil war that was the first industrial war

In this video he is talking about Arya and Swastika, which are terms and symbols forms the basis of Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism all emerged from India. Indians consider Swastika as a very pure and auspicious symbol. Though this pure symbol was taken by Hitler and Hitler’s cause was to kill millions of innocent people which is never a good thing for humanity.
There is no proof …
