The Horror Show: Review of the Decade: 2000 – 2009
2 independent filmmaking buddies John and Jag, discuss their views on the horror movie genre in depth:
Includes our views/ideas/criticisms of Horror Movies and how we want films to be like, mentioning popular films and less known ones, as well as directors such as Sam Raimi, Eli Roth, Rob Zombie, George Romero, Quentin Tarantino, and Stanley Kubrick. Show also introduces the film we will create, in which we will showcase the making of process in later episodes of this year’s show.
The show is an hour, the shortest it could be to fit in for a decent review of a decade in horror cinema and our current plans in making our film

glad u watched it …
glad u watched it all. if u do go to a film college in london make sure it’s a good one which has a lot of film equipment. The university I went to didn’t have the best equipment whereas i’ve heard other universities or film schools have some really good stuff and have the Avid editing program along with decent HD cameras, lighting and radio microphones, all of which my university didn’t bother getting which is why Grave Danger is bad quality. I didn’t go to film school
Hey John this is …
Hey John this is really good and i watched all of it =). Nothing can beat the original films. BTW can’t wait for your nxt film! And i want to go to a film college in London a few years from now!
cool thanks for the …
cool thanks for the advice, we will take it on board and in fact we didn’t intend for it to last an hour it went by without us even noticing because me and jag usually spend hours talking about horror on our location scouts etc.
Anyways we shot the video log and you actually see us discover a location which we didn’t pln for. We walked probably 8 miles in total in the cold lol!! Anyways i hope u can start up your show again, cos we could post video responses to each other.
maybe next time, it …
maybe next time, it shouldn’t be so long, though i understand there is a lot to cover. also, i’m not sure if we’re stating up the show again; me and kayla will really have to think about it.
No problem, thanks …
No problem, thanks for the support. It’s good for us to support our friends in horror especially the ones who are on the similar wavelength of opinion. I’m glad you liked the show, we will have a short blog up at some point where we are walking along talking about things we forgot to mention, which will be shot tomorrow. Regarding the film, it will be a very difficult film to make and an interesting process which is why we will document it on here and the written blogs.
cool video. glad …
cool video. glad to see it is up. great insight into what is great about old horror and what is wrong with new horror. the very best of luck with your new movie. sounds huge. be sure to stick with it and never give up if making it becomes tough! thanks for the nice words about “Camp Kill”!
cool thanks for …
cool thanks for watching it even though u were busy, i’m glad u liked the show. Anyways do you have any ideas on what we could improve upon? also do u know if you’ll be starting up your show again
i finally finished …
i finally finished it. haha. i had to watch it in twenty minute intervals because it’s bad for my eyes to stare at a computer sceen for so long. anywho, i liked “The Horror Show.” glad to see you back by the way, Jag. you two really know your horror. i’m glad that you finally got to release something though. and also, know that i think about it, i don’t like the halloween remake either. can’t wait for your upcoming films! sincerely, marcus.
At first i thought …
At first i thought u were joking or your account has been hacked into since we’ve spoken before, but then it dawned on me that you maybe don’t agree with what we have to say about remakes which is fine. Well in response to your insult which was not constructive negative criticism, all I’m gonna say is we won’t budge on our opinions and will not substitute our video lengths to 10 minutes just because you can’t upload videos longer than that.
u guys get an hour …
u guys get an hour long video//// wtf this was the most boring waste of time ever//// u suck
