When ever they looked back the saw nothing. 3 times more they heard the horse’s hooves and at everytime it appeared the pony and rider was nearing them. They now waded into the brook to cross it and at the exact same time they opted not to look backwards. They also started reciting the ‘Jap ‘ the holy prayer of Guru Nanak.When they were mid way down the stream which had less than waist deep water, they heard the rider come close behind them and then fall into the water.
