When Chantal Kreviazuk took to her grand piano to commence the writing of her album, something began to change. The chords she started to release were immediately different from her earlier work- revealing themselves to be much more rhythmic and charging. While other artists tend to mellow as their career progresses, Chantel found that she was crafting her most driving work. “I think that was just recognition to the heart and passion I was putting into the songs”, she reflects.

I just to know if anyone has a good Ghost Stories or if anyone gas had a personal experience? have you ever had any sort of EVP?

I am just asking for fun. I watched some dumb show last night about ghosts and i just thought it would be a cool topic.

Okay:
It was a semester ago when I was auditing a singing class for the next spring semester. I used to use the piano room at the college a lot and I was fine until I saw something that made me never want to travel alone (anywhere) unless its day time.
I was sitting in the music room getting ready to play a self composed song when the light switches went off on their own.
I thought someone leaned in and shut the lights because they assumed no one was there.
I got up and turned the light back on and sat down again. I started getting annoyed because I really wanted to play this song.
This time, my eyes were on the switches and I saw the switches go up and down on their own. I grabbed my jacket and left.
I wasn’t scared at all because I expected this to happen. A lot of the students kept complaining about the switches go up and down alone. I was mad that I didn’t get to play my self composed song that I spent two weeks working on.
Since then, I went to another piano where there were more people around and the lights won’t go on and off alone.
This has never happened to me before and I was shocked that it happened in the room I felt comfortable in at first and now I don’t feel safe in there anymore

I’m currently working on a middle-grade novel that’s a ghost story. I’d like to do some research and I was wondering if you know about some good books or magazines on writing ghost stories. I’m also going to read some Ghost Stories for research, but I’m having a hard time finding advice on writing them.

Such books will be in the 808 section of the library, but will only cover general "science fiction, fantasy and horror" as subjects. There are no magazines I know of that cover ghost story writing. Magazines like Writer’s Digest and The Writer are *okay*, but they have tons of adds for vanity houses, and their article writers are not the most successful in the industry.

But writing is writing, whatever the genre, and the 808 section books will help you.

The BEST research you can do is to read lots of ghost stories by other writers to see how they did them.

I can recommend "Hell House" by Richard Matheson (Or Legend of Hell House)

You may be able to get both through Inter-Library Loan if yours doesn’t have copies.

Read as many books as you possibly can!

I want to write a good ghost story too, and that’s what I’m doing!

What happens on episode 20 of Ghost Stories????? I looked Ghost Stories up and found out that episode 20 of Ghost Stories is called Farewell, Amanojaku… The Arrival of Ohma. Whats with that????

I need just a few points on why they were really popular. Also if you tell me some famous authors of ghost story at that time.
Does this have anything to do with witchcraft?

I don’t know of any famous authors of ghost stories from back then. However, the Ghost Stories were so popular because many spirits that came back were trobbled due to the way they died, or the depressing life they lived. Back then people were hung, shot, stabbed, and many other terrible things. Girls were sold away to wealthy families where they had to pretend to love the man each night. When the person died, their soul was forever searching for the peace they never got in life…causing them to wander. This gave people something to talk about, stories to tell.
