Ok so I am a really big horror movie fan but I loathe!!! Slasher Films. It took me two years to finally watch the first saw movie but I have to admit it turned out to be a really smart movie without being slasher like I thought it would be. So my idea of Horror Movies are ones with decent story lines that are scary without making me puke pretty much. Some of my favorites are the original Omen, Exorcist, Saw, 28 days later, The Exorcism of Emily Rose and stuff like that so my question is what is the scariest/ best horror movie that you have seen lately?

I have seen all of the saw movies so far and the first is still my favorite although the rest were not bad.
u should see the invasion. it’s not bloody, but a good, intellegent horror.

I’m Thinking of writing a book. A horror book, if you couldn’t tell. And I need some background information about what the public wants. So if you could help me out I’d much appreciate it, and if an answer is good enough, it might even get a mention in the story.
I’m laughing at the first couple of answers. Clearly, these are people unfamiliar with the true horror genre (watch some Vincent Price).
A lot of the classics really do a great job of giving you the rules of certain monsters and story lines. When you know the rules is when you can bend them. You should do your research and find Horror Stories like the one you want to write and commit to reading/watching and analyzing them.
I went to a few Haunted Houses, and now I have to write a feature on it, but I’m not sure how to start it. This is what I have so far:
Everyone has been to a haunted house – whether it be a small one hosted in someone’s house, or a big one that took months to put together. Two particular haunted houses near Johnsburg include the Realm of Terror in Round Lake Beach, and X-Treme Hauntings in Fox Lake.
Would that be any good?
Just tell where the various locations are, what services they offer, etc. A local map detailing the specific houses would perhaps be useful, as would an illustration(s)
